Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) says, “In Paradise, there is a canal named Rajab. Its water is whiter than milk, cooler than ice and sweeter than honey. The one who observes even a single fast in Rajab will be entitled to drink its water Here is a tradition reported by Hazrat Abu Darda (Radiyallahu Anhu). Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) says The one who observes a fast in Rajab, it is as if he/she has observed fast for the whole life and remained busy in nights worshipping Allah the A mighty Once a companion, Hazrat Sobaa (Radiyallahu Anhu) was with Allah Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) They came across a few graves. Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) became sad and said, “Sobaan, people buried here are punished, I prayed to Allah to curtail their punishment. Had they observed a single fast in Rajab and remained awake for just one night worshipping, they would have been saved from this punishment in their graves. The companion asked, “Fasting only for a day and remaining awake busy worshipping would have saved them? He replied, “Yes. I swear on the One in whose hand my soul is, there is no Muslim man or woman who if observes just one fast in Rajab and remains busy worshipping Allah the Almighty for just one night, He writes a year’s worshipping in his/her book of deeds. A year’s worshipping in the manner that a person observed fasts all throughout the year and remained busy worshipping Allah the Almighty all throughout the nights Dear readers, such as the blessing of Rajab. Grab it and credit your book of deeds with reward A companion Hazrat Azizuddin bin Abdus-salam (Radiyallahu Anhu) says That person is ignorant who stops another from fasting in the month of Rajab. A man came to Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and said, “1 am weak and unable to observe fasts for the whole month of Rajab. What should I do? He replied, “Fast on the first day, fifteenth day and the last day of Rajab. The one who obsorvos fasts for the whole month of Rajab is callod by Allah the Al- mighty and He doclares “O My servant you have a right over mo Ask whatever you want. I swoar uport My Honour and Glory that I will not rejeet your plea You will get a place beneath My Throno and you aro My loved one among all my cre ations. You deserve respect and there is no veil between you and Me. Companion Hazrat Abu Saeed (Radiy- Allahu Anhu) says, “I visited Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) on the first day of Rajab. He asked me, Which is the most blessed and virtuous day I said that I did not know Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, Hazrat Jibreel (Alaihissalam) came to me and said, On the first night of Rajab, Allah the Almighty Commands an angel to call out and the angel calls out, The moon of the month of repentance is sighted. Good news for those who appeal to Allah for being forgiven Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) says, “The distance between Hell and the one who fasts on the first day of Rajab is as much as the distance between the earth and the sky Dear readers, wouldn’t you like to keep yourself away from Hell?” It is reported by Hazrat Ibn Mas’ood (Radiyallahu Anhu) that Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) says The one who fasts for three days in Rajab and remains awake for three nights worshipping Allah, it is as if he has fasted for three thousand years and remained awake busy worshipping for three thousand years. His seventy needs are fulfilled at his death-time, seventy needs are fulfilled in the grave and seventy needs are fulfilled when the books of deeds will fly and reach its doers on the Day of Judgement.
